Katie has been on the Board of Friends of Front Street since August 2021 but an animal lover since she was born. Katie grew up with dogs and cats, never not having an animal in her house. She started with Front Street as a volunteer, heavily enjoying her laundry tasks. As her time shifted out of the shelter, she created her own fundraising events at her wellness studio, her Elevated, located in Midtown Sacramento. Over the last few years, Katie has hosted fundraising events: The Annual Día de los Perros Muertos and Puppy/Kitten Yoga. Apart from hosting fundraising events, Katie has fostered a few pups from Front Street, two of which were Foster to Fall in Love (not fail) – Alfie and King Louie. When she’s not running her own business, she is assisting the board, taking care of her three rescue pups and cat and traveling as much as she can.
