The spaying and neutering of the free-roaming cats is an essential pillar of animal welfare in our community. Altering these cats not only reduces undesirable behavior like spraying and fighting, but also helps control the population and provides health benefits to each cat!
The Community Spay Neuter Clinic provides this important service to thousands of cats in the Sacramento area every year. We are proud to partner with them and with local trappers in the community to sponsor the surgeries of up to 50 feral cats every Monday.
In the first half of 2023, this program provided funding for the surgeries of 988 cats!
