Lysa joined the board in 2018 and has immensely enjoyed her time and experiences working with the board and Front Street Shelter staff, volunteers and supporters! Lysa has volunteered in many animal organizations since 2005 in the Sacramento region, but is proud to call Front Street her home as she is consistently impressed by the caliber of Front Streets’ selfless, dedicated and committed staff, volunteers and community supporters. She is passionate about programs that enrich animals’ lives during their time in the shelter, programs that help support more animals getting placement after their shelter stay, and programs providing pet owners and community members with the support they need to help fewer animals enter the shelter. Lysa has been fostering for over a decade and has fostered over 225 dogs and 12 kittens; she has also spent over 1,000 volunteer hours inside the shelter working with large breed dogs to help them learn basic manners and get love during their shelter stay in an effort to help prepare them for joining their forever families. Lysa is celebrating her 17th year at Analgesic Services, Inc., a local medical gas company, where she currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Lysa lives just outside of the City of Sacramento on two acres with her husband, Eric, their twin boys, Bram and Ziggy, her beloved gang of foster failure dogs Simon, Frankenstein, Wednesday, Emmie and Eerie, their 13 chickens, and three sheep!
